A grandiose spectacle

The Dubai Fountain Show is free and has quickly become one of the favorite attractions of the people of Dubai and its visitors. Imagine a 24-hectare lake at the foot of the Burj Khalifa, the highest tower in the world, where at each show are projected in the air 83,000 liters of water, up to a height of 140 meters. Swiveling water jets combined with overpowering light projectors make the water dance and offer endless combinations. There are 24 different regular musical shows, and occasionally other musical performances.

Watch the show: Dubai fountains schedule

In the evening from 6pm to 11pm, there is a show every 30 minutes. Each show has a choreography of water jets and different music. In the afternoon, there are also shows, but we advise you to go to the evening performances.

There are many restaurants along the artificial lake, and some have terraces that can be beautiful observation points.

Hotels with views of the fountains

The hotel The Palace Downtown Dubai is the closest to the fountains with some rooms with balcony facing the fountains. Very nice, and maybe a little noisy in the evening.

To access the artificial lake and fountains, go to Dubai Mall, then follow the Dubai Fountains signs. The best places to see Dubai's fountains are shown in red on our map below. The site is open access. At the end of the week (especially on Friday nights), there are many people and it will be necessary to elbow to have a beautiful point of view.
